Broken Grammar

is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to providing a platform for poets from diverse backgrounds to share their voices and stories. Through workshops like The Write, open mic nights, and community events, the organization creates a supportive and welcoming environment where aspiring and tenured poets can hone their craft, build connections, and find their artistic voice. With every poem written and every word spoken, we strive to create a world where poetry is not just an art form, but a major catalyst for understanding, education, inspiration, and impactful social change."

About The founder

Lyrical Paradigm, spoken word artist and educator, was born amidst the bustling streets of Chicago and is now entrenched in the soulful rhythms of New Orleans. LP has been described as a force to be reckoned with in the poetry community. As a spoken word artist, LP has graced the stages of prestigious venues and events around the country, captivating audiences with her magnetic presence and powerful delivery. LP’s poetry reflects the complexity of the human condition, exploring themes of love, identity, social justice, and personal growth.

Lyrical Paradigm founded Broken Grammar with a goal to empower aspiring poets and writers to find their courage and unleash their creative potential. Drawing from her own journey as a black woman in poetry, LP recognized the transformative power of poetry as a tool for self-discovery and purpose.
